Jeroen arranged new swimsuits for his daughter’s team
As manager of the tender team at Vebego Cleaning Services, Jeroen knows how important it is to keep things well organised. And that doesn’t stop when he leaves the office. In his spare time, he’s active at water polo club EZCL, where his daughter plays. “I’m in charge of the gear, I make sure everything’s in order. And once a year, I give the whole clubhouse a good cleaning.”
When EZCL merged with another club from Enschede, something had to be arranged for the new team: a united look. “Bringing two clubs together meant new swimsuits. And that’s a big expense.”
Giving back with support from Vebego
Jeroen had heard about “My Effort, My Project” and didn’t hesitate to apply. Through Vebego Foundation, he could apply for €500 to support the initiative. “That contribution really made a difference.
“Thanks to that support, we were able to purchase new swimsuits, and now the women can enter the water as one team. Without that help, it simply wouldn’t have been possible.”
That support doesn’t just make him happy; it makes him proud. “It feels good to work for a company that looks beyond the job. One that sees what’s happening in the lives of its colleagues and wants to contribute to it.”
Don’t hesitate. Just do it!
Jeroen says the process was simple. “You send an email, receive a form, and it’s picked up quickly. Honestly, super easy.”
"It makes me proud to work for a company that pays so much attention to charities.
And for any colleagues who are still on the fence? He’s crystal clear: “Just go for it. If you know of a place where a small contribution can make a big difference, apply. You’ll be helping to make the world a little better.”

With “My Effort, My Project”, any Vebego colleague can apply for support for volunteer work they do in their free time, whether for a sports club, local initiative, cultural organisation or foundation. Vebego Foundation supports these efforts with a contribution of up to €500.
