Donation to Deutsches Kinderhilfswerk: many happy faces!

At the end of August, Alexandra Zentner, Coordinator Operational Units and Board Member Germany at Vebego Foundation, was on a wonderful mission for the foundation. Together with Deutsches Kinderhilfswerk and the community shelter on Treskowstraße in Berlin Pankow, she handed out school bags to 30 first grade students.

The colorful backpacks were filled with pencil cases, colored pencils, notebooks and a gym bag. Each child also received a Vebego water bottle. Many excited children and their families spent a joyful afternoon together in the shelter's community room.

"I am very happy that Vebego Foundation is supporting Deutsches Kinderhilfswerk with 10,000 euros. Many of us at Vebego have experienced firsthand how important opportunities, support and an open community are for a successful fresh start. As a company where people from many different backgrounds work together, integration is a particularly important topic for us. With this support, we want to help children experience their first day of school well prepared and with a positive feeling," says Alexandra Zentner.

Through its annual school bag campaign, Deutsches Kinderhilfswerk is committed to greater educational equity. So far, around 34,000 school bags worth more than six million euros have been distributed to children nationwide.
