School supplies, sports, music lessons, a birthday celebration or a fun day out. Things that seem normal for many children in the Netherlands, but not every family can afford them. One in twelve children grows up in poverty, which means about two per classroom. That’s far too many. Through Sam& voor alle kinderen, parents and caregivers can easily access support from organisations that help when money is tight at home.
Vebego Foundation proudly supports the work of Sam& voor alle kinderen, a collaboration between Leergeld Nederland, Jeugdeducatiefonds, Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur, Kinderhulp and Stichting Jarige Job.
Sam& supports 315,000 children and young people aged 0 to 21 who grow up in families facing financial hardship. Parents with limited income can apply for support through Sam& to cover costs that many other families take for granted. Some examples:
